I agree that people kill and guns are a tool. And, over the years European Americans have been in North America, ignorance and fear--some call it racism--drove establishment of a a network of policies in every area of life that put people of color at a disadvantage. That network of poliies is systemic racism, the racism inerwoven in every function of our lives. Even as European American population numbers decline, they still hold most positions of leadership, power, and authority. I may not have answers but, even though it makes me and lots of others uncomvofrtable, systemic racism needs to be included in the questions.
